UTI Foundation Transportation Services (UTIFTS)
Provides transportation services on an advance Reservation basis. Transportation services for older Adults, persons with disabilities and human service Agencies are provided on a county wide basis.
Vehicles(some eqipped with special accessiblity features) are used to transport passengers. Drivers are trained in first aid, CPR, defensive driving and in other safety-related areas.
UTIFTS provides passengers
With Curb-to-Curb service. Drivers Assist passengers on and off the Vehicles.
Passengers who need Assistance to and from the vehicle Must make arrangements with someone to assist beyond boarding and exiting the vehicle. UTIFTS does not provide Door-to-Door service.
HOURS OF SERVICE
7:00 AM- 6:00 PM MONDAY – FRIDAY
Transportation services will not be avilable on holidays that are observed on weekdays such as: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth Of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Holidays, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
You Need to Know
Seat belts must be worn at all times to ensure the safety of all riders. If children under the age of 8 are being transported, child safety seats are required. Parent/ Guardian must provide Child safety seats.
A one-hour "service window" is allowed for passenger trips. This means that the UTIFTS vehicle may pick you up 1 hour before or after your scheduled pickup time. Passengers should wait at the main entrance of curbside. Drivers are allowed to wait for you only 5 minutes beyond your scheduled pick up time.
Passengers are not allowed to get off the vehicle at any location other than the scheduled destination.
If an escort or attendant must ride with a passenger, please notify the supporting agency or the UTIFTS office at the time the reservation is made.Children age 12 and under may ride only if accompanied by an adult, guardian or authorized escort or aide. For safety reasons, additional information may be required before any person under the age of 18 is transported.
Passengers who are physically or verbally abusive to others passengers or the driver, and/or interfere with the driver’s safe operation of a vehicle may have services temporarily and/ or permanently discontinued.
How to Cancel a Trip
Notify your supporting agency or UTIFTS as far in advance as possible if you need to cancel a scheduled trip
UTIFTS vehicles are tobacco free. Smoking, chewing or other use of tobacco products is prohibited. No eating or drinking is allowed on UTIFTS vehicles except for medical reasons.

Limit or cancel scheduled trips
When hazardous road conditions are Present in order to ensure the safety of all passengers and drivers.
UTIFTS observes the local School
Board policy for closing due to
Weather conditions. Listen to 750AM or other local radio and TV stations for closing.
